Welcome to The Liberal Arts Centre (liberalartscentre.org). The Liberal Arts Centre is owned, operated, and managed wholly by Groundwork Ideas Project LLP (Registered Address: 18, Panchsheel Park, Panchsheel Enclave, New Delhi 110017). Throughout this Agreement, the term "Centre" shall explicitly mean and refer to The Liberal Arts Centre, which is owned, operated, and managed in its entirety by Groundwork Ideas Project LLP.
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") constitute a legally binding contract made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("User", "Student", or "you") and Groundwork Ideas Project LLP ("the LLP", "we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of our platform, digital infrastructure, and enrollment in our academic courses, advanced seminars, events and educational programs (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our platform or registering for our courses, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the site or availing of our educational services, and you must discontinue use immediately.
Refers to these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the Cancellation & Refund Policy, and any course-specific honour codes or guidelines issued from time to time by the Centre or its management LLP.
Means any individual or legal entity who applies for, registers for, or accepts an offer of admission to any academic program displayed on our website by fulfilling the necessary fee protocols.
Include all foundational liberal arts modules, advanced study cohorts, live digital seminars, reading circles, foundational texts, and pedagogical reading materials provided by the Centre.
The platform and the educational Services offered by the Centre are fundamentally designed, intended, and tailored for adult participants above eighteen (18) years of age.
By accessing our platform, interacting with our digital infrastructure, or registering for any program, you expressly represent, warrant, and certify that you are an adult of legal age under applicable law, possessing the full legal capacity to enter into a binding contractual covenant.
In the event that a user is a minor (under the age of 18), such minor user represents and warrants that they are accessing the platform and enrolling in any course strictly with the explicit, informed consent and active supervision of their parent or legal guardian. In all such instances, the minor's parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and fully accepted this Agreement, and agree to be entirely responsible for the minor's compliance, code of conduct, and financial transaction parameters on the platform.
When you visit our platform, fill out enrollment or contact forms, submit written assignments, or communicate with our administrative or academic desks via email, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communication from us electronically. We will correspond with you via email or by publishing formal updates, schedules, and notices directly on the platform. You agree that all electronic agreements, notices, disclosures, and communications satisfy any legal mandate that such communications be executed strictly in writing.
Upon successful completion of the checkout process and definitive verification of the prescribed course fee by our banking infrastructure, an automated payment acknowledgement and registration verification email will be generated and dispatched to your registered email address within forty-eight (48) hours of the transaction settlement.
To streamline course logistics, preserve reading schedules, and maintain cohort sync, all core operational and programmatic communications—including but not limited to live seminar streaming links, definitive lecture timetables, proprietary syllabi, faculty introductions, and mandatory text reading assignments—will commence strictly seven (7) calendar days prior to the officially scheduled commencement date of the respective course. The Student acknowledges that no academic parameters or onboarding instructions will be shared before this structured pre-launch window.
The standard duration of an individual live academic lecture or core digital seminar session delivered across our programs is strictly fixed at ninety (90) minutes. Students are expected to structure their availability accordingly to ensure full-session attendance.
The Liberal Arts Centre is an independent alternative educational initiative. The Centre is not a university or college recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India, nor is it affiliated with any formal statutory university board.
The Centre does not offer, confer, or award any formal academic degrees, diplomas, or statutory postgraduate certifications. All completions are rewarded strictly with internal, non-credit Certificates of Completion.
All educational initiatives, interactive tracks, and modules provided by the platform are designed and delivered entirely outside the usual formal degree framework. Our programs are curated exclusively for personal development, professional upskilling, foundational literacy, and alternative exploration of classical humanities.
You agree and confirm that the credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, or other structural financial details provided by you for enrolling in our courses are accurate, current, and legally owned or authorised by you.
All financial transactions, authorisations, and information submitted during the checkout process are handled securely by our integrated, authorised third-party payment gateways. Neither the Centre nor Groundwork Ideas Project LLP stores your private card details on its servers.
We shall not be liable for any fraud involving credit/debit cards or payment channels. The legal and financial liability for any fraudulent use of a payment method rests entirely upon the user, and the onus to prove otherwise shall be exclusively yours.
We reserve the ultimate right to reject or cancel any enrollment at our sole discretion. Furthermore, we reserve the ultimate right to initiate appropriate civil or criminal proceedings to recover costs, collection charges, and legal fees from individuals utilising the platform or transaction portals fraudulently.
All registrations and course fee collections are subject to a strict commitments pipeline. Financial adjustments are governed strictly by our standalone Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is fully incorporated into this Agreement. As stated fundamentally therein: No student-initiated cancellations or refunds are permitted once registration is locked; pro-rata refunds are only activated if the Centre is entirely unable to deliver or complete the scheduled course due to structural or unforeseen constraints; and minor modifications to lecture timetables, session dates, or shifts in the designated faculty line-up do not qualify for refunds.
The Liberal Arts Centre maintains a rigorous, high-standard pedagogical framework centered around classical text analysis, critical thinking, and advanced dialogue. Accordingly, the mere payment of course fees or passive enrollment does not automatically entitle a student to a certificate of completion. The award of an official Completion Certificate is strictly contingent upon the student completely fulfilling mandatory baseline conditions.
Students must demonstrate robust, respectful, and thoroughly prepared intellectual engagement during reading seminars, breakout sessions, and group discussions.
To preserve the seminar dynamic, student accountability, and interactive peer pedagogy, candidates must keep themselves fully visible via a live, functional video camera for the entire duration of all live lectures and digital sessions.
Students must complete and submit all prescribed non-fiction essays, response papers, or course projects within the strict academic deadlines specified by the administration.
The non-award of a completion certificate resulting from a student's failure to meet these active participation, video visibility, or assignment metrics shall never under any circumstances constitute a ground or reason for a fee refund. In all matters regarding performance evaluation, participation standards, and the final decision to award or withhold a completion certificate, the combined decision of the course faculty and the management of The Liberal Arts Centre is final, absolute, and non-appealable.
Individual one-on-one mentorship sessions are offered strictly as an add-on option as part of our specialised Mentorship Track. These sessions are provided exclusively to students who explicitly opt into, select, and enrol in this separate track during the registration process.
The Mentorship Track is structurally separate from the standard course curriculum and learning modules. Enrollment in the general academic program or the completion requirements of any given course are not inherently linked to, dependent upon, or structurally bound by these independent mentorship sessions.
Where provisioned by enrollment in the Mentorship Track, each individual consultation scheduled between an eligible Student and a designated member of the faculty shall be capped at an absolute maximum duration of forty (40) minutes per session.
Mentorship sessions must be booked through the designated administrative channels within the specific timelines outlined by the track structure. Missed sessions or late arrivals initiated by the Student will not be rescheduled, extended, or compensated.
All text, curricula, reading guides, proprietary translation references, syllabi, graphic logos, and recorded digital audio/video materials provided during the courses are the exclusive intellectual property of the Centre and its managing LLP. No portion may be reproduced, distributed, copied, or recorded without prior written sanction.
You are solely responsible for any notes, peer reviews, messages, opinions, ideas, text entries, or media files that you post, share, or submit within our digital seminar forums or student chat spaces. The Centre accepts no liability for peer-to-peer expressions but retains the right to remove any non-compliant material immediately.
Students are expected to adhere to a standard of scholarly decorum. You are explicitly prohibited from: transmitting or posting any content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, unlawful, or designed to disrupt the educational environment of other enrollees; recording, downloading, or scraping live class interactions, faculty lectures, or fellow students' video feeds without authorization; or utilizing automated mechanisms (bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to harvest data or academic materials from the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold completely harmless Groundwork Ideas Project LLP, The Liberal Arts Centre, its promoters, designated partners, employees, affiliates, agents, independent contractors, and faculty members from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees and legal expenditures) arising directly or indirectly from: (i) your access to, use of, or misuse of our platform or digital seminar spaces; (ii) your breach or alleged violation of any provision, representation, or baseline covenant contained within this Agreement; (iii) any User Content or material you post, share, or transmit through our Services; or (iv) your violation of any third-party rights, including but not limited to intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary claims. The Centre reserves the absolute right, at your exclusive financial expense, to assume the sole and exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to fully cooperate with our legal defense strategies.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE, SHALL GROUNDWORK IDEAS PROJECT LLP, THE LIBERAL ARTS CENTRE, ITS PROMOTERS, DESIGNATED PARTNERS, EMPLOYEES, FACULTY, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. THIS ABSOLUTE EXCLUSION ENCOMPASSES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA CORRUPTION, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER OR NETWORK BREAKDOWN, DIGITAL SECURITY BREACHES, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSSES OR PERSONAL INJURIES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED WITHIN THIS AGREEMENT, AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT SANCTIONED BY LAW, THE CUMULATIVE, MAXIMAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF GROUNDWORK IDEAS PROJECT LLP AND THE LIBERAL ARTS CENTRE TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE OR CLAIM WHATSOEVER, REGARDLESS OF THE NATURE, FORMAT, OR JURISDICTION OF THE LEGAL ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR BREACH OF WARRANTY), SHALL AT ALL TIMES BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO AND SHALL NOT EXCEED THE EXACT AMOUNT OF FEES FINALLY RETAINED BY US FROM YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC, INDIVIDUAL COURSE COHORT ENROLLMENT GIVING RISE TO SUCH LIABILITY.
This Agreement, its interpretation, and any operational or legal disputes arising out of your relationship with The Liberal Arts Centre and Groundwork Ideas Project LLP shall be governed by, construed, and enforced strictly in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
Any legal action, suit, mediation, or judicial proceeding brought by either party to resolve claims arising under this contract shall be subject to the exclusive legal venue and jurisdiction of the appropriate courts located in New Delhi, India, to the absolute exclusion of all other alternative state or regional jurisdictions.
