Terms and Conditions
The Liberal Arts Centre
By enrolling in a course offered by The Liberal Arts Centre ("the Centre"), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
1.1 Courses are open to adults aged 18 years and above.
1.2 By enrolling, you confirm that the information provided in the enrollment form is accurate and complete.
2. Nature of the Programme
2.1 The Liberal Arts Centre is not a UGC-recognised institution and does not offer degree programmes.
2.2 Participants who fulfil course requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion.
2.3 The Centre reserves the right to modify course structure, readings, schedule, or faculty if necessary.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Course fees must be paid in full prior to commencement unless otherwise specified.
3.2 The Centre offers two fee tiers:
- Tier 1: Rs. 15,800 (8-week course)
- Tier 2: Rs. 20,800 (Includes Tier 1 benefits + two individual mentorship sessions)
3.3 Bursaries, if awarded, may be provided as partial or full refunds of fees and are limited in number.
3.4 Bursary decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 Fees will be refunded only under the following circumstances:
- The Centre is unable to offer the course.
- The faculty member is unable to complete the course due to serious or unavoidable reasons and no suitable replacement can be arranged.
- A duplicate payment has been made.
4.2 Minor schedule changes do not qualify for refunds.
4.3 Fees will not be refunded for any other reason, including voluntary withdrawal or removal due to non-compliance with norms.
5. Participation and Conduct
5.1 Participants are expected to:
- Attend classes regularly
- Complete assigned readings
- Submit weekly assignments
- Participate actively in discussions
- Present a final paper where required
5.2 For online courses, keeping video on during sessions is mandatory.
5.3 Participants must engage respectfully with faculty and fellow participants.
5.4 The Centre reserves the right to discontinue participation of any individual who repeatedly disregards programme norms. In such cases, fees will not be refunded.
5.5 Decisions taken by faculty and the Centre regarding conduct and participation are final.
6. Certification
6.1 A Certificate of Completion will be awarded only if the participant:
- Attends at least 80% of classes
- Submits all required assignments
- Adheres to programme norms
6.2 The Centre reserves the right to withhold certification if these requirements are not met.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Course materials provided by the Centre are for personal educational use only.
7.2 Participants may not record, reproduce, distribute, or publicly share lectures or materials without prior written consent from the Centre.
8. Privacy
8.1 Personal information collected during enrollment will be used solely for academic administration and communication purposes.
8.2 The Centre will not share personal data with third parties except where required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 The Centre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from participation in the programme.
9.2 The Centre is not responsible for technical issues on the participant's end during online sessions.
10. Final Authority
10.1 All academic and administrative decisions taken by The Liberal Arts Centre and its faculty are final.
10.2 Enrollment constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
